June 29, 2010 - What an amazing weekend of skiing at the 2010 Jr Team Trials held in Van Wert, Ohio. First off I would like to say thanks to the McLure's for hosting the event. All of them did a great job and have a wonderful site. Unfortunately the wind was present for the event but that didnt stop these kids from giving it 110% out there. Hats off to all the competitors! Well here is what we have all been waiting for, the selection of the Jr World team. The top overall scores male and female went to Haywood McDonald and Lauren "Poochie" Morgan. The next scores and the last 2 spots went to Makayla Haw and Ericka Lang. Congrats to you all and I know you will represent in Italy. How do I know this? Well in other good news I was named coach of the Jr World Team! Im looking forward to taking these kids to gold in Italy.
June 25, 2010 - Here we are mid summer and the skiing continues to be great. Im here in beautiful Van Wert, Oh for the 2010 Jr Team Trials. Over the next 2 days these kids will be battling it out for a chance to participate in the 2010 Jr Worlds which will be held in Italy. Needless to say everyone is bringing their A game. Poochie and Jenna took their practice rides today and everything went smooth as usual. The conditions were nice and were all hoping they stay that way for the weekend.
